The first space your patients judge
Waiting rooms and reception areas carry a disproportionate weight in how patients assess a practice. These are high-contact, high-traffic spaces that accumulate contaminants quickly and are difficult to maintain during clinical hours. A waiting room cleaned at 7pm that opens again at 8am the next morning with 20 patients through it before noon needs a protocol that accounts for that throughput — not a routine that was designed for an office lobby.
What the service covers
Waiting area disinfection includes all seating surfaces including upholstered and hard-frame chairs, side tables, magazine rack surfaces and contents disposal if applicable, children's area toys and surfaces where present, window sill ledges, baseboards along patient-facing walls, and floor cleaning. Reception counters receive surface disinfection including the patient-facing edge, sign-in ledges, pen holders and counter accessories, and glass partition surfaces. Patient corridors from the waiting area to exam rooms are mopped and high-touch points — door handles, light switches, handrails — are disinfected as part of the scope.
Restrooms in medical facilities
Patient restrooms attached to or accessible from a waiting area are cleaned under the same visit. This includes toilet and seat disinfection, sink and faucet surfaces, mirror, dispenser restocking (supply inventory is the client's responsibility), and floor mopping. Restroom frequency can be set independently from the main waiting area if clinical volume justifies it.
Frequency
Most practices elect nightly cleaning of waiting areas, which is adequate for practices operating one shift daily. High-volume urgent care and multi-provider group practices may benefit from a midday service visit in addition to the nightly clean. We can quote either schedule, or a combination.
